Isolation

This solitary tree stands on the open farmland. Recent snow fall blankets the fields while the telling sky warns of another front emerging. After a full days shoot I had enough luck to see this composition, as I pulled the car to the side of the road I could only get a couple of frames as I was holding up the traffic. A bit selfish but a fitting and deserving photograph deserves it's place.

What I like about this image is a return to contemporary placement. This shot works well for the season and I doubt it would have the same visual impact as the other three (unless there was some extreme circumstances). The snow approx. one third to two thirds sky - light against dark. The dead tree forms a centre piece.
